Neighbors, answering the call.
A volunteer corps of EMTs and drivers serving the Town of Mamaroneck and the Village of Larchmont — every hour, every day.
EMTs and drivers. Trained. Ready. Volunteer.
The Town of Mamaroneck / Village of Larchmont Volunteer Ambulance Corps (LVAC) provides emergency medical services to the residents and visitors of the Village of Larchmont and the Unincorporated Area of the Town of Mamaroneck. Whenever called upon, we respond with EMTs trained to help in a professional manner.
Beyond emergencies, you’ll find us standing by at local parades, Swim Across America, running and cycling events, school and community fairs. We host CPR classes and run tours for civic groups like Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
We invite you to join us in serving the community in this active and fulfilling way. No previous training necessary.

Founded by neighbors, funded by neighbors, for over fifty years.
Larchmont VAC was officially formed and incorporated in New York State in 1972 — white uniforms, a single ambulance, and a community that turned out to fund it. Half a century later, the names and the trucks have changed, but the goal hasn’t: high-quality care for the residents and visitors of our community.
