Larchmont VAC is made up of Line Officers, a Board of Directors organized into Corporate Officers and Directors, and five committees with a chairperson for each.
Line Officers
Re-elected every year by the membership.
Chief John Pomponio has served as an EMT for 17 years and has been a dedicated member of the Larchmont Volunteer Ambulance Corps for over 15 years. He is currently in his 10th year as Chief of Operations, having previously served for two years as a Lieutenant. In his role as Chief, Chief Pomponio is responsible for overseeing the agency's day-to-day operations. He also directs the Corps' driver-training program and serves as both the Safety Officer and Exposure Control Officer. Chief Pomponio holds several specialized certifications and instructor credentials, including American Heart Association CPR Instructor, Incident Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials Incident Safety Officer, Rescue Technician and Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator IV Instructor.
Captain Theodore (Teddy) Druckman has been a member and EMT for over 15 years and has served as a Lieutenant since 2023 and Captain since 2026. In addition to his role as Captain, he serves as our Membership Committee Chair and leads our Field Training Officers for in-service training of new EMTs. Outside of Larchmont VAC he is a consultant instructor at New York Medical College Center for Disaster Medicine and a NYS CLI, bringing both operational and instructional knowledge to the classroom and ambulance. He holds a BS in Political Science from SUNY Empire State.
Lieutenant Kari Black has been a member and EMT for four years. In addition to her role as Lieutenant, she serves as the officer liaison to the Training Committee, is the Treasurer, is the Chair of Scheduling, and coordinates patient donation mailings. Outside of Larchmont VAC she has been an active member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester County for the past ten years. Kari holds a BA in Political Science and an MSEd in Childhood Education.
Lieutenant Kyle Wagman has been a member and EMT for over 12 years. In addition to his role as Lieutenant, he serves as our current President and is our communications manager, ensuring all radios, pagers, and dispatching capabilities with our various emergency response partners are in proper working order. He most recently also served as Captain for the last year after serving previously as a Lieutenant for several years. Outside of Larchmont VAC he holds a private pilot's license and enjoys spending time on Long Island Sound. Kyle holds a BS in Business Administration and General Management from Skidmore College.
